St. Peters School is part of a federation of schools joined with Hart Primary Schools.
It is a special federation in that it has one Church of England school and one Community school working together in partnership to create and develop opportunities for the benefit of all the children.
The federation means that it has one Executive Headteacher leading both schools in partnership with one Governing Body.
St. Peters is a Voluntary Aided Church of England School in the village of Elwick, on the outskirts of Hartlepool. It aims to provide an inspiring education, underpinned by the Christian values of respect, forgiveness, love, care, compassion and equality. It has strong links with the local church, St. Peter's, as well as the Reverend Janet Burbury, who plays an important role in the life of our school. Pupils participate in daily collective worship in school and attend Church at regular times throughout the year. Christian teachings play a large part in its values in the school and help with attitudes towards learning as well as behaviour towards others in the school community.
The federation has its own web site which can be accessed at http://www.hartelwickfederation.org.uk
